Logos Designs: Design mostly Based on Traditional Chinese Aesthetics

 Task 1


This logo is inspired by traditional Chinese elements and its prototype is called "Xiangyun"(Lucky cloud) in Chinese. One of the reasons I designed this is that I hope it can bring good luck to all the people who see it, and the other reason is that I am very interested in traditional Chinese culture.




Task 2


The design is still based on traditional Chinese culture. I regard the circle provided as a traditional Chinese window( also known as the moon window by the Chinese), through which you can see Chinese architecture and its unique beauty and the window is like a picture frame, framing the outside view.





Task 3







In this task, I use five different medias( computer, digitalized, marker, water color).

Final Assignment 1.0 : Big Place, Small Space

 This week's mission is to find a small place and transform it so that wasted space can be used more efficiently. In the choice of location, our group had many differences. Chinese Architecture From Qin Dynasty to Qing Dynasty (1.2)

  Colors:  Every color has its own and unique meaning and was used carefully in ancient Chinese architecture.  Purple was the most honorable color in ancient China and the reasons can be found in Chinese history  and religion. According to Taoist legend, the celestial Palace of the Jade Emperor was viewed as a star  near Polaris, which was perceived to be in purple color and located at the center of the universe (  Zhang, 2019). During the Ming and Qing dynasties, China's monarchy reached its peak of  centralization and to symbolize the supremacy of their powers, emperors in that era called the palace  they lived as “Purple Forbidden City”.
